Upgrade to an MX Sensor or buy more lights?

Over the past few years, I’ve shot projects on the RED camera. It’s been a whirlwind of an experience.

A teacher at the university I attend is attempting to upgrade the sensor in the camera (after all, it’s module) to an “MX Chip.” It offers more latitude and lower noise in the shadows – allowing you to shoot at a higher ISO, which is awesome. But after my work on my most recent project, Catalyst 2.0, and working with Pete Weiland, it’s a much better investment to get more lighting equipment.

What’s a kipid?

Technically, it’s a good night to start- but hey, who’s keeping track?

My fun-loving uncle Ben wanted to help me know who I was, that being a Critchfield was a good thing. The only problem was that I was 3 or 4 years old at the time.

“What’s your name?”

I proudly declared, “I’m Weston Kipid.”

It’s a good day to start being a kipid….again.
